Hello Penguins!
Thanks again for your patience this weekend. We know there have been some slowdowns and some bugs, but as always, we are working hard to squash them as fast as we can.
We hope to have the servers back to normal very soon. We won't rest until Club Penguin is the best it can be!

Server Issues
Hello Penguins!
We just wanted to send a quick note thanking you for your patience. We are working through some server issues right now, but we should have it figured out soon. The server selector that shows how many penguins are in each server is not working properly right now, so it is not accurate.
If a server seems really crowded or you are unable to log in. Please try a different server even if it looks like its empty. Once you get in you will see that its not. We should have this fixed soon.

Developers Journal
Hello Penguins!
We have been busy preparing for the Members Only - Pizza Party. The screenshot shows the new Pizza Parlor that will be located east of the Snow Forts. Last week we spent most of our time adding more servers and worlds for all the new penguins. We will have more screenshots and sneak peeks ready next week.
For those of you who can't attend the member party, you'll be able to check out the new area next week!

Lots of Change
Hello Penguins!
Many of you have noticed lot of changes lately in Club Penguin. We hope you are enjoying many of the new changes. One of the items we aren't finished with yet is the server selection tool. What you currently see is just a temporary one. Sometime next week we will launch the final one which will allow you to see how many of your buddies are in each server and how full each server is.
Some of you may wonder why we are having to add so many new servers. As we all know, Club Penguin is growing and we will soon be featured on some game websites which means the amount of new players will be going up a lot.
This means we need your help! As these new players join, we will need all of you current players to help show them around Club Penguin. Please try to be as helpful as possible and don't be afraid to show them a few secrets too (like where the dojo is).
Thanks for all your patience during these changes.
In other news: Now that most of this server work is done, we currently have 4 new games in production which should be released in the next few months!

The Last Step
Hello Penguins!
Many of you have been noticing a lot of work going into changing and upgrading our servers. The final step was done recently which required Club Penguin to be shut down for about an hour. Our apologies for those trying to log in during that time, but it needed to happen.
Anyway, with this final step, we're nearing the finish line and that means Club Penguin will be running better than ever. It also means we're ready for continued growth.
Thanks to all you penguins who have been so patient during this process. It may not look like much, but we really have made a lot of changes to speed things up and make Club Penguin ready for the future.
Also, special thanks to Rsnail who has worked so hard on this project!
Now that this is almost done, it means even more time to spend making new games and new places to hang out in Club Penguin!

Secret Agent Stuff
Hello Penguins!
Many of you have been wondering about the Secret Agent Penguins and what is going on with the HQ. Well I wanted to give you an update. We have put the applications for new agents on hold for a little while so we can rebuild it from scratch. Those of you who are agents will still be agents, and those of you who aren't will be able to apply when the new system is up a running. Here are a few things we're working on:
Increased Difficulty: The application process will soon be more difficult so only the top penguins will be allowed in. This means there will be an Agent quiz, a certain amount of time to have played Club Penguin, and Agents who are banned for breaking the rules will no longer be Agents.
New HQ: You've asked for it and we've heard you. We're working on an all new HQ that will show secret information about club penguin.

More Updates Coming!
Hello Penguins!
I know we haven't had a post lately, but we have been hard at work on many new things. We decided to let you in on a few of the behind the scenes work that has been going on.
New Servers: We are half-way through the process of upgrading all our servers. Most of the hard work is done, but there is still one more piece that will be transferred soon. Once that is done, you will notice another big speed increase.
New Menus: We have been working hard on rebuilding and fixing many of the areas outside of Club Penguin such as Penguin creation, Penguin activation, Change password tools, Edit your account, etc. These are areas that needed to be rebuilt when we moved servers so those should be launched soon.
New Server Selection: Club Penguin has been growing fast and has been getting more and more crowded. Because we will be launching more servers than just the east and west servers, we will also be launching a new server tool that will automatically show you the best server to use and it will also show you how many buddies are in each one so you can choose the one with the most friends in it.
New Design to the Website: We've kept this one secret for as long as we could, but we've waited long enough. We have been working hard redesigning a brand new look to the Club Penguin website with a bigger and better help section, and easier account features. We hope to launch it in the next few weeks.
Lots more: We are still working hard on two new games we hope to launch this month, and as always: new clothes, new furniture, new igloos and more!
In other news: We will have some special decorations up for valentines day, but it won't be an official party like the luau. We decided to spend more time on all this other stuff instead so we hope you understand.

Server Updated 1.04
Hello Penguins!
We have just completed upgrading the server to version 1.04. This version is alot faster, and fixes a couple more bugs. Next week we will begin updating the database, this should increase your connection speed. (stay tuned for more news)
