Costumes and clothing are another aspect of playing VMK. A player is given the option to look fashionable for certain events, parties, or just to look good. Players are able to choose what costume and clothing to dress their character in. This not only is for fun but also a way to personalize the character.

Although many of these items can be traded between boys and girls, some cannot. While some are obvious (boys can't wear the dresses), others don't make as much sense (the shirt for the Herbie outfit, for example.)
