The animated classic Alice in Wonderland wasn't the first time Walt Disney explored the Alice in Wonderland story, Walt also did a version with Mickey Mouse. Name it and the year the cartoon was released.

In the classic Mickey Mouse short, Thru the Mirror, (which is available on the Walt Disney Treasures Mickey Mouse in Living ColorMickey falls asleep while reading "Alice in Wonderland", and dreams of entering the strange world of Wonderland through the looking-glass. While there are several similarities between the classic cartoons, Mickey's short was more humorous (in keeping with Mickey's slapstick style that other shorts of the 30's also had) than the full-length Alice film. In addition to appearing on the Walt Disney Treasures set, the short is also included as an extra on some DVD releases of Alice in Wonderland.
