Secrets to Success

Secrets to fun and glory in VMK! Below are tips and hints sent in by various Players who want to share their know-how with others. Our thanks to PrettySparkles, kancy, CL_Spartian, PrincessCindy and Bilbo.

  • If you don't think a trade is fair, don't agree to it. It may sound simple, but lots of people are getting tricked into trading away their rare stuff for something of lesser value.
  • Make your Guest Room more exciting by choosing a theme and using it throughout the room. Don't forget to add posters to the walls that match the theme.
  • Make all people who visit your Guest Room feel welcome.
  • Photo albums store the same pictures no matter how many you have. If you put photo albums in each of your Guest Rooms, everybody can see your pictures no matter which of your rooms the visit.

Fireworks

  • Try to wait until you see the star on the fireworks instead of just clicking them.
  • When there is more than one firework at a time, its better to get 'Good' on both than 'Flawless' on one and miss the other.
  • Different fireworks change to stars at different times; watch and learn from the differences in speed.
  • Don't expect to be perfect the first time you play. Write down your final score each time you play, and you will see the scores improve over time.
  • Try to keep conversations about Fireworks and VMK. Like any room, if someone is making you feel uncomfortable, report them.

Pirates of the Caribbean

  • Try to stick with your team; the power of numbers can be very strong.
  • Try to keep out of the way of other Players on your team.
  • When trying to hit the enemy, your best weapon is the timing of when you fire your cannons.
  • Reload your cannons and health as often as you can.
  • Study the angles of cannon fire.
  • It takes time to learn anything, so don't be too rough on yourself when you don't do as well as you'd like.
  • Playing with people you don't know can be fun, and help you to learn new skills.
  • Remember it's a game; have fun.
  • Most Players in VMK are happy to help you. Everybody was new once, you know.
  • Remember, Players whose name starts with CL_ are Community Leaders, and they're here to help you.
