Scam Alert
All Quests, whether they are official VMK Quests or Quests made by Players, are free to everyone. Please don't pay anyone to do their Quest, or for help completing Quests. If a Player is asking for items before you can join their Quest, or to be "paid" to help you with a Quest, please report them and then leave their room. No prize is worth being scammed over, and VMK won't replace these items for you. Players caught charging to participate in Quests may be banned for scamming.
Do you have a VMK Quest Kiosk?
Please be sure to check out the FAQs and then check out the tutorial that walks you step by step through the process.
Quest-building Tip of the Week: Change your Quest often to keep it fun and interesting, and to keep Players coming back to play again and again. Consider shaking things up a bit by offering new challenges, or old challenges in interesting ways.
Event News
QuestMania is coming to VMK!
As a salute to the end of Quest Month we offer QuestMania, a weekend jam-packed with 7 new and exciting Quests.

- Villains
Sunday April 30:

Each Quest will be available via the Q button, only on the day shown. Prizes will be shown in the Quest Description.

What makes a Guest Room award-worthy?
Guest or Game Rooms that stand out show originality in concept and design. It could be a use of conventional furniture in unconventional ways, the use of a theme or color, or humor. Game rooms that get the nod offer a new game idea or a new twist on an old favorite. In all rooms we look for room owners who welcome everyone with a smile and show a willingness to answer questions about their room.
Check out this week's Best Guest Rooms and Best Game Rooms.
MythBusters
Myth: You can get banned for charging someone to play a game in your guest room. Fact: This is not true. Each room owner has the right to set the rules of their own game, as long as the room owner informs Players of the rules up front and applies them fairly to all. Any Player who doesn't want to pay can look for another room that doesn't charge. Please note, this should not be confused with charging for Quests or Quest help.
Myth: If I told a staff person in the game that my stuff was stolen, I don't need to do anything else. Fact: This is not true. Please be sure to report situations like this via Contact Us. Remember, the more information you give us the better chance we have of resolving the situation for you. .
Myth: Its ok to tell someone my user name on another Disney site. Fact: This is not true. We don't allow the exchange of any information that would allow contact outside of VMK.
Just the FAQs
Q: Can I use a program to help me enter my Codes faster? A: Scripting, which includes any programs or utilities that use scripting capabilities to perform rote tasks (ie: entering codes), is a violation of the VMK Values. Any player caught using ANY scripting program may be banned.
Q: Is it against the rules to use your Quest Kiosk to transfer credits from one Player to another? A: VMK would prefer that Players only use the Quest Kiosks as they were intended: for creation of Quests and rewarding of prizes.
Q: I let someone borrow my Turn Into Bat Magic to do a Quest and now they won't give it back. What do I do? A: Whenever you let someone borrow something, either in VMK or elsewhere, you run the risk that they won't give it back. This is not a scam, and VMK won't replace the item(s) for you.
Q: Why aren't you accepting Community Leader applications? A: Currently we don't need any more Community Leaders. When we are ready to once again accept applications we will announce it right here in the Newsletter.
Q: I can't find some of the Quest items because I don't know what they look like. A: We're including a picture of all the items to make your Questing a little easier.
VMK Staff Profiles
Each week we interview a different member of the VMK Staff. Pay attention - the answers may prove useful in VMK-hosted trivia games!
Staff name:VMK_Flight
Three favorite pieces of furniture, and why?
1. The Crater Couch, because it closely resembles my first couch. Complete with pockmarks. 2. The Astro Orbiter Lamp, because it looks like it could also wax a car, broadcast cable TV, and microwave popcorn .. all at the same time. 3. The 50th Celebration Mickey Lantern. It just looks swell.
Favorite *type* of Guest Room?
Tomorrowland Outer Space. Rockets, planets, and zero gravity!
Favorite Public Space?
The Central Plaza, naturally!
Favorite Mini-Game? (ie: Pirates, haunted Mansion .. not the hosted games)
Pirates of the Caribbean, hands down. Cannonballs, pirates... what's not to like?
Best VMK moment?
Realizing that displaying Dancing Inferno can result in such varied reactions.
Favorite place to hang out in VMK?
Currently Central Plaza - but I'm looking to broaden my horizons in the near future.
Best tip for someone new to VMK?
Really take the time to read the Game Help Guide, and VMK Values. There's a lot of good information in there.
What one safety tip would you like to share with our readers?
Play safe, and play smart. OK, that's two safety tips - but I think keeping them present in your mind makes for an enjoyable time in the VMK. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever give out personal information.
