"VMK Tips"
This week several staff members share their top tips for fun in VMK:
- Earn credits by playing the VMK mini-games and finding each of the Non-Playable Characters (NPCs) every day.
- Personalize your room and wardrobe by shopping in VMK! You can buy clothes, furniture, posters and much more using your credits. Each area within the Magic Kingdom has its own store which sells unique items. It's as easy as finding a store that interests you and double-clicking on the cash register to browse the available merchandise!
- Click on the "shirt" icon to not only change your avatar's appearance, but also to change your sound settings.
- Click on the button with the "i" to change your room name and description. Here you will also find the Furnishing Mode; make sure the box is checked and then you can Move, Rotate or Take Away items in your own room.
- Create a game room and invite your friends to come play. Handy tools to have are turnstiles, scoreboards, rope dividers and random number generators. Use the room name and description to tell what kind of game it is, and maybe add a photo album with any special instructions. We like it when games are free, but if your game is of the "pay to play" variety, please say so in your rules.
- Your mom was right; manners are important. Saying "please" and "thanks" go a long way when trying to make friends in VMK.
- Can't figure something out? Look for an avatar whose name starts with CL_ These are Community Leaders, and they're here to help you.
Event News
The next VMK Event is this weekend, October 8 & 9. VMK staff members and Community Leaders are building a maze for your enjoyment. You don't need to design a room or answer questions to win � be our guest! There will be three levels of difficulty, all starting from the same place.
When: Saturday and Sunday, noon to 10:00pm Eastern
Where: Check the Popular Guest Rooms list for VMK Haunted Maze
How: Enter the room and choose your path. Follow the Teacup Teleporter for the easy level, the Stitch Teleporter for the medium level, and the Coffin Teleporter for the difficult level. Get to the end and be rewarded.
Rules:
- You may complete each level of the maze and receive the prize for each, but please only complete each maze one time so there is room for everyone in the maze.
- When you reach the last room in the maze your name will be recorded by a VMK staff member. Your prize awarded during or shortly after the maze event. If yours does not show up right away, please be patient.
- After your name has been recorded please exit the room to make room for others.
- If you get lost, ask other Players in the maze for help.
- Have FUN!
"Best Rooms"
Our talent scouts are patrolling VMK every day looking for the most fun and interesting rooms we can find. This week our favorites are:
CursedPirate shows how a little imagination and a lot of crates can take a room from wow to WOW in Pirate At Sea.
Did you know VMK has a chat show? Stop by The VMK Talk Show — Open, hosted by CL_Becky to meet other Players and Community Leaders, as well as catch up on new and interesting happenings in VMK. Even though its not official information, it sure is fun!
